Mine is running like a top!! Except at start up in the morning, I have cleaned the throttle body but think it needs to be done again to be sure we got it all, as it did help alot!!
I have a few codes and have talked to Therm about them and it seems the intake gasket might be going?? I am going to test it this week and see what I come up with? If it is, CB has stated he can help and we will get it done, I have watched a youtube on it and besides all the crap that has to come off it looks pretty simple?
But I have been very happy with it so far, and will get her right!

Sounds good MJ. Really they are good vehicles. Even with little things that need repair I would highly recommend one to anyone looking for a full size SUV.

if your engine light is staying on then you need to find out what sensor stop working or it could be out of range do a self diaonotic test fix the problems and then go from there---i didnt relize the engine light was staying on

He's already told me what the codes were, and all 4 point to an intake leak which is a semi common issue for the early LS engines up north(don't know why we don't see much of it down here in the south, but up north they seem to go out fairly often, maybe the cold up there cracks the rubber).

As some know CB and I replaced the intake gaskets a couple of weeks ago. Well since then it has been running like $hit! Ferm said it might clean up after a few days as the computer had to relearn, no deal!
We had a issue with the drivers side injectors not seating good when reinstalled and after careful thought CB and I had the same thought, it was that as the problem. So the first chance CB and I had was today to look at it, took the intake off again and lubed up the O rings on the injectors and put them back in, but still was having a problem with the drivers side? Come to find out we had the mounting bracket on the wrong way after we fixd that they went right in with out problems!! Then remounted the intake, turned the key and zoooom it was perfect!! went for a long ride to do a few things and it was perfect the whole time!!
Now just have to do the Brakes, and Pitman arm and she will be perfect! Thanks CB for all your help!!

My pleasure pal. Glad it worked out. It's not such a bad job once you get it figured out. Didn't really take too long and it runs like a champ now.

Yeah. The bracket for the incoming fuel lines was under the tab for the fuel rail/injectors preventing them from seating all the way down in the holes. I pulled the whole intake again yesterday and was still having a problem until I noticed that. Flipped the bracket so that it was on top of the fuel rail mounting tab and everything just dropped into place. I was going to get new O Rings for the injectors, but nobody had them. They weren't bad or anything so I put a little vaseline on them so they wouldn't tear. Could tell after starting the truck that everything was good.

I used to carry a BIG jar of it with me just to scare people when I would come over and work on there cars. I would get out of my truck with it and say lets get to work. Most would run when I did it.
