Anyone know why a new fuel pump would go bad? I just had it replaced a month ago. Could I have some bad gas that ruins the fuel pump after 15 gallons of use? I had a new filter (replaced the entire filter assembly) installed when I replaced the pump last month.

That doesn't sound right at all. I've never heard of older gas ruining a new fuel pump. Is the motor stalling out if you put the throttle down to far?

No. I've used it all day without any issues. It sat for a few days and when I started it up the pump was bad. I just had it replaced again and will have it back in the water tomorrow. Hopefully it was just a bad pump.

If it was the pump, I hope that they reimbursed you for selling you a faulty unit!!

It's all covered under warranty, thank goodness. Just a loss of boating time during the holiday.
