I am looking for another prop for my Johnson and i found Pro-Pulse props made out of a composire material and also the pitch can be changed on the water. West wants $200 for one 14.5"x 15-21 pitch.

Has anyone used these props? Are they worth the money?

I have zero experience with them but am bias.

Don't like the idea of a composite prop, I don't like the interchangeable hub props either. Just an old dinosaur. For a comparison, the aluminum props are reputed to flex a good bit more at a strain and high rpm's than the stainless. The composite should do it even more than the aluminum. This is why the same pitch and diameter of one prop material doesn't translate to being the same on another prop made of different material. Arguably, the stainless prop has a better chance damaging parts of the engine in a grounding event than the aluminum. The composite prop should come apart quicker than the aluminum, being even less apt to damage the engine parts. Guess it all boils down to what your boating habits are.

For the money I'd cruise craigslist and buy a spare and save big bucks.

I posted a thread on the local fishing forum, looking for a prop. Already got a call, a guy has a 14-1/2x17 OMC stainless prop and wants $100. Might get it after i get my trim motor.

I took my prop to Accu-Prop. Found out my 15-1/2x14 is way too big for my engine for what i am using it for. Also one blade is a 13 pitch and on top of that the previous shop i used for my prop repair put a 8-10 cup on it. The owner of Accu-prop said that 15 1/2 prop is primarily for 250s and maybe the v8 300. I guess when i originally bought the boat 4 years ago they stuck any prop they had on it.
