Stryker T-top Installation

I installed a Taco Neptune T-Top on my Scout. I used the togglers for my T-Top as I had no access at all to the area it was to be bolted into. I used two per leg on the outside screws. The inside screws were able to go into the stringers.
Being that my deck is foam cored, I had to remove foam below the deck in order to allow the toggler to expand. I ended up drilling the correct size hole for the toggler to go through the deck, then to clear away the foam, I attached an Allen wrench into the chuck of my cordless drill. Poked the Allen wrench through the hole and gave it a spin. It shredded the foam real nice and the togglers worked perfectly. Feels pretty solid to me.

My friend, Marc Googer(Carolina Custom Rigging), builds T tops and aluminum platforms for a living. He normally screws the top into the floor, but he allways ties the top into the console. I've seen some of his that attach only on the console(you have to have a strong console and a small top). He has on of the better reputataions around here for the quality of his tops. to my knowledge, he hast had a problem with teh tops breaking loose. Normally has three screws per leg, any attchment point to the console is thru bolted. Soem boats have an aluminum plate glassed in when they build them, those are drilled adn tapped for machine screws.
Check with clover industries, they used to build for manyfactures only, but now they sell to the public, I don't know the prices. Marc charges anywhere from $2000 and up depending on the options. Reel has seen some of his work.

I wasn't around when this top was mounted to the boat...no idea screws or throughs...all I know is, it never moved....all the rocket launchers seen here and the seat-backs were Marc's, too...

To all the Charleston guys who met Chad, owner of FINZ, this is the boat he has now...these pics were taken after Nick got ill and it had gotten lookin pretty rough...Chad bought Phat Kat from Nick's son and completely redid it and has even replaced the motors, too...upgraded to twin 250 HP Zukes...I dyin' to ride on it again w/the new power...Chad says it'll snap yer neck...I saw 50 mph w/the 200s...can't imagine what she'll do now...
