I tried the pvc tubing most recently - must not have gotten a tight seal around them as water did collect underneath. Was thinking of using some of the synthetic deck board to use near the bottom leaving room for the water to migrate toward the bilge as you described. I'm not sure how/if it'll work well with fiberglass or if I'll need to glass that stuff in. Anyway, I'd seen some pictures somewhere and thought it might have been here. Was a couple of years ago.
