Default What Are the Must Sees?????

A friend of mine wants to bring his 33 Pursuit from Boston to Hilton Head. So I figure I have most of the East Coast covered with members in here. Let me know what's fun to do and what ports and/or marinas you guys think are nice to stay in with fun in the area. There is going to be four forty year old guys going. Planning 4 or 5 nights. Tentative departure date November 6, 2009. Boat is staying there and we are flying back.

When you get to SC, give me a heads up, Theres plenty to do in Charleston, plan on staying at the City Marina. I probably won't have time to play turist guide(just ask Rabbit Fish), but I can point you in the right direction. If you need any assistance or have any questions, I know 5 or 6 Captains that have made the trip numerious times. Why are ya'll going to Hilton Head? If you don't play golf, you're better off staying in Charleston.

Seeing the USS NY is a good idea, I'm not sure why the owner of the boat wants to end up at Hilton Head, I will have to run that by him. I will give you that heads up when we are down that way. Should be a fun adventure.

Just off Georgetown, SC there's a little fishin' hole known oddly enough as The Georgetown Hole...let me know just before you push away and I'll get you a current bite report...big tuna, hoo and sails out there recently...you'll be going right thru this...might as well toss out a hook...

Link to LOTS of local weather/conditions and Hilton Head to Charleston area info...

Find Pepper's Porch in Bluffton (close/easy from The Head)...for 4 forty yr old guys on shore leave...oh yeah!!...

And don't mess w/the gators down here...a guy just lost his arm to a 10'er the other day...last I heard, they'd killed the gator, recovered the arm and attempting to reattach...

Hope Pipe Dream will see this and chime in...I imagine he knows the Head pretty well by now...
