Default I have started motor swap

The new motor is still in the truck!

But I did get the old motor off today, the bracket felt strong, but had like a 1/16 gap at top, So I losened the bolts (Not to tight) and filled the now 1/8 gap with 5200, The re tighten everything solid!!

Going to try to get the new motor hung tomorrow.

And for you pic guys, I was to busy working but I did snap a few, I will post a little later. ;)

Ok here we go, not much to look at but I have some pic';s

I have one problem, and its really not a problem, But when I went to take pic';s I noticed that the power tilt pump looks really rusty

I might swap with the other motor, or try to pain before getting it on the boat??

But that will mean I won't get the motor on tomorrow and I really wanted that done :-/

New 5200 being squezed out

better change that t/t motor now. that's a pain in the *** on a V6 looper if the bolts and tilt tubes stuck. Did they break your 5 off? just epoxy it back on. that is actually i solid emblem the 225 should be 1 part.

The 5 is no were to be seen??

As far as trhe pump goes I will look at it tomorrow, the new motor has a Stainless tube so should be ok, but the old motor is all rotted and I belive its going to be a bit-h!! But the motor on the old motor is in prettuy good shape.

lol stainless tube is just as bad to remove thats what was stuck in mine on the 21 i had to cut and beat out. don't use that old crappy one then you will have to take 2 mid sections apart. just buy a new one from Franco's buddy for $58 new. you have to remove the side of the tilt section that bolts to the boat to remove the t/t motor. you can't remove the rear corner bolt any other way plus if order follows suit at least one will break off and you will have to drill it out any tap is back to 1/4-20.

Well I have tryed to get the motor apart for the last 2 hours, I have got ll the bolts off and used heat hammer you name it and it is not moving!!

The good news is that brown colored pump that I thought was all rust, is brown colored paint of some kind, so there is very little rust on it!

But the old motor has a new motor on it that someone replaced with no rust, so I thought while the motor was off I might as well change it.

But after 2 hours and not wanting to go thur what Skools went thur I have decided to just clean it up and repait, it should last for a while. I hope?

As far as the sticker goes I had like 6 made for like $3 each I used 2 and gave a few awy a long time ago.

If you want I can find were i had them made and they will make 1 ior 100 what ever you want.

But I was thinking of having 100 made later in the fall and selling off at cost+ shipping over the winter if you want to wait?
