see why i said don't use the one off the old motor then you have to go threw that taking apart twice when you can buy one new for $58 much easier and cheaper in the long run after breaking stuff lol.

Yes sir I see what you mean!!

But you are going to break a bunch of stuff getting that thing apart!!

O well I hope it last for a good long time! I cleaned up the Yamaha and it was 3X that bad and it lasted till the motor blew. But that was a easy take apart!

Anyway after playing around with that trim motor i cleaned wire brushed it and painted with Galvanized paint, 5 coats, then topped off with Yamaha paint, I know its a Evinrude, but you can't see it any way!

Then this after noon we got the motor on the boat and I got all the steering reinstalled.

I pulled a bunch of old wires out, still more to go but I have to trace them to make sure I don't take out what I need!!

So whats left, all the wiring and attach the cables, and I should be able to start her!

I am taking the day off tomorrow I have lots to do and then a Doc appointment.

Note the truck in the street!! :P

The Tree!! it has moved 6 motors now, The Land Lord has never know ;)

Maco i'd be interested in a couple of those V20 stickers this winter. *Good idea hanging on to the old motor, never know when you're gonna need some spares.

p.s. I have some rust on my trim motor, but I keep it coated with that white grease in a can. Maybe it will last a little longer.

Well I got the wire harness all stright, only took 3 hours!! Cause the last 5 owners left every wire they ever added to the boat!! >:(

I still have two switches on the dash that do nothing? But not to worried!

Replaced 2 of the 4 lights that light the cockpit. As of right now every light works!!

I have not wired the trim switch yet that will be tomorrow.

But motor is all wired and turns over perfect!!!!! ;D I have nmot added any gas to the tank yet so I have no idea if it starts??

Hopefully tomorrow?

Pictures to come later, I want to take a shot of the boat all lit up at night ;)
