Good idea!

Another update, I repacked all the bearings yesterday evening. My buddy had gotten the caps for me and turns out they are the wrong size >:( I told his slack butt 1.980 but I guess it fell on deaf ears. Well I can't complain - after all he was helping me out.

So, we scrambled last night and found a place that could order only two 1.980 caps.....so I will be calling around trying to find 2 more today. Bummer.

But now, come hell or high water I am going fishing this weekend woo hoo!

;D

Try tractor supply, those stores are popping up all over.

Actually I saw bearing buddies on the shelf in the boat section of Wal-Mart. :o :o :o :o

Nope, no "supply" type stores nearby. I think Napa is going to be my best bet.

Parish, yeah I know wally world has buddies, but i'm looking for caps right now. Plus the wally world buddies are extremely cheap quality....I know because I bought some once.

I'll let ya'll know what I find out.

The hardware store near the house that has the 1.98 caps in packages of 2 is a "Do It Best" franchise.

IT WILL HELP IF WHEN YOU INSTALL THE BEARING BUDDY YOU USE SOME "REMOVABLE" LOCKTITE AROUND IT.

ALSO WHEN YOU REPLACE BEARINGS, TIMKEN CAME OUT WITH A NEW CORROSION RESISTANT COATING FOR THE BEARINGS, JUST ORDER BY SET# WITH AN "A" AT THE END OF THE SET#
