Okay, how's this one...
It's Just 143 Days....

143 days

ˇYou couldn't get a job at McDonald's and become district manager after 143 days of experience.
ˇYou couldn't become chief of surgery after 143 days of experience ofbeing a surgeon.
ˇYou couldn't get a job as a teacher and be the superintendent after 143 days of experience.
ˇYou couldn't join the military and become a colonel after 143 days of experience
ˇYou couldn't get a job as a reporter and become the nightly anchor after 143 days of experience.

BUT***8230;

From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working.
After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World...143 days

We all have to start somewhere. The Senate is a good start, but a fter 143 days, that's all it is - a start.

AND, strangely, a large sector of the American public is alright with this and campaigning for him. We wouldn't accept this in our own line of work, yet some are fine with this for the President of the United States of America? Come on folks, we are not voting for the next American Idol.

AMAZING ISN'T IT!!
THINK ON THIS!

As for Palin, I won't vote for her or McCain or the BHO and Biden show...

I agree that her interviews have been excruciating to watch; I can't even watch the clips anymore when they come on TV.

That said, this is the sort of thing that happens when people get thrown into the political machine. When she first came onto the VP scene she did very well; she presented herself and HER views very well. In fact, I don't think she used a teleprompter during her first public speech; she used her notecards and she barely had to use them. All this to say that I believe what's happened to her is that she's had to take a crash course in learning the party lines and memorizing the party answers. She's not been permitted to be herself and represent herself and HER views and all that stress has come through clear as day in these recent interviews.

She really does just need to be herself and admit the fact that she's not the typical B.S.ing politician and that she doesn't know a number of things. But who does? Most of them don't know what they're talking about, they just fake it better than she has. I think that if she comes across as the "average Joe sixpack" that she claims to be, she will do fine and will earn the respect of us average joes who are tired of all the career politicians up there at our capitol... For her sake, I hope she does well tonight. We'll see in about half an hour.
