Default 70 John Rude ?

i'm working on a 70 3 cylinder Johnrude that looks like its been in a time capsule, it looks brand new. Allredy rebuilt the fuel system, yanked the VRO off, i noticed the water hose to the pee hole hasn't been rerouted to the top of the cylinder head(its still in the exhaust plate), anyone remember the measurements for drilling the hole for relocating the hose?

Post what you do with that motor.
Neighbor has one he had horn problems with at top speed (low oil or high temp) and got the stuff to redo the exterior water portions (and t-stats, I think). I suggested removing the VRO pump and replacing with regular fuel pump, that is as far as the renovation went.

I've done a little work on the 3 cylinder loopers before, but never heard of the hose re-route your talking about. Wish I could help you out on that one. SKOOLS, SKOOLS where are ya SKOOLS?

I think I found him.

Just looked at the one next door and from what I remember there was a kit to replace the 90 degree fitting, the hose and the pee hole exit.
NOT having a small exit but one the size of the hose.
Can't remember if the tstat needed replacing also or if we did that.

I had a pre-86 (1975 w/ 81 powerhead) 70hp 3 cyl evinrude and man that was a great motor! That is the one I sunk then ran for 2 more years before selling it....still running. I hate I got rid of it for $750.
