This population is about 3 miles as the crow flies from the house.
The next group I know about is near 40 miles away.
I just can't help looking at these clowns when I see them.

Darn, I didn't know that I had tuned into Animal Planet when I turned on the puter ;D. Seriously those are some great pics. I a little worried that the Fawn is gonna grow up thinking hes a horse ;). I've never heard of anyone hand feeding Humming Birds, your sister does have a special gift.

My sister was over at daddys last night, said the fawn finds her when he wants in the house or to be fed treats. She said he comes out the woods calling "aaayyyy", when she's around.

Heard all this gibberish a few minutes ago and found 4 of these had emerged out a nest in my nieghbors yard.

Well I guess they will be raiding the cat food bowls in a few weeks. :P
And I believe 2c hit dead on the head about the Animal Planet. ;D

squirrels, raccoons, when they invade your space and start destroying,
then they ain't cute anymore.

squirrels get in the attack and rip things to shreds.
raccoons will actually kill an outside dog by luring them
to water and drowning them.
Deer ticks with lyme disease and mange transferred to other animals.
