I went to their web site yesterday and it list only the 200 and 300 hp as their HPDI offerings . Does anyone know if or why the dropped the 150,175,250 ?

Labii, don't know for sure, but maybe they feel the market is leaning that heavily in favor of 4-stroke technology and movin' away from2-stroke...I happen to disagree, but I think the reason they're keepin' the 300s is it's the ONLY power capable of pushin' the big ole Grady Whites to a decent cruising speed...that 33' Express and heard about one even bigger gotta have the OBs so they can sell the boats... ;)...

Good to hear from ya...haven't seen ya around these parts lately... :)...

Hey MJ I agree with you to a point, I think that once they can figure out how to do those 4 strokers a lot lighter than they are now I will stay with the dueces. But and its a big but, I was out on a friends boat last month, up on plane with a suzuki four stroke, five feet from the engine and talking in a normal tone and listening to Jimmy Buffet on a cd. You just don't realize how much that noise difference affects your enjoyment of the water and your surrondings until you don't have that chain saw in your ear anymore. More expensive yeah more complicated yeah but if I have the money to repower that v20 I'm getting in a week it will be with a four stroker and I won't look back ;)

I agree, But, When I had the I/O I was yelling all the time to talk!! But after I converted to the OB and added the Yamaha I can here and talk pretty good on my boat now!!
I think it has to do with the fact that the out board is on a bracket behind a full transom.
No doubt that the 4 stroke is quite, But if all I have to do is rasie my voice a little I will stay with the 2 stroke.

I'd have to raise my voice a hell of a lot just to drown out the Jimmy Buffet music. :P Sorry. Couldn't resist, but I just don't get the attraction to that drivel of his ???

CB, you need to shut out the rest of the world and listen to a little ditty of his titled ''Juicy Fruit''...if that don't sell ya, ya ain't gonna be sold... ;) 8)...cool stuff... :)

As far as quiet motors go...heard an E-Tec fire up and take off the other day...no more noise than the Honda at idle or loaded...one of these days... ::)...
