Stay strong for your kids and grandkids Joe. Hang in there for yourself as well, they need you around.
Try to get some rest too, you've been up so long plus the grieving your mind and body will deal with things better.

You are understandably crying for your loss. Anyone would in similar circumstances. Loosing someone we love is never an easy thing. But you are totally wrong about not having anything to do anymore. You have your children, and your grandchildren that still need you to be strong for them. This, my friend, is the time when heros are made. When we wake up in the middle of the night screaming at the darkness, when everything seems lost forever, and yet we still go on. That is the measure of a true man. I know you are such a man. So continue to cry, (we all do) but make those funeral plans, smile through your tear clouded eyes and continue to lead your family forward on this journey that we call life. You have a TON of friends here, ready and willing to help you any way that we can. My (and I'm sure everyone elses) well wishes, support and prayers continue to go out to you and your family. God bless you Joseph. God bless us all.

I'm with Bradford. Your kids and grandkids need you as much as you need them. A grandpa like you has a lot to add to those kids' lives over the coming years - teaching them things, enjoying your "new" boat with them and just bring their grandpa.
There are a lot of us guys who have never met you in person but care about you deeply. Over the 10+ years I've been hanging around the board, you've been consistently a strong, honest, giving, caring guy. You are appreciated and respected by a whole lot of us and I read your daughter's post a few days ago - there's sure no doubt about how much she loves you. There's no reason to stop crying until you're ready - it doesn't mean in any way that you're not strong. Be strong and grieve your great loss and ride along on the prayers of your family and friends while you're feeling numb.
