I have tying seawitches since i was a kid so the nylon wasnt hard for me. Learning a powder paint technique was the hard part. I ended up learning from another friend of mine to heat jig head in oven.......remove with visegrips...sprinkle and brush out powder paint....return to oven for 10 minutes....remove and paint again then bake for 10 minutes. They come out perfect everytime.

the only thing i hated here is i learned the powder coat, but the sand here were we jig beats the crap out of them and the paint don't last long!

I have learned a trick to that also. Scuff your jighead with 80 grit sandpaper the crosshatch scuff will create a mechanical bond surface for the paint to stick to. Holds up really well to impact.

nice, hard to tell how big they are, 1-2 oz, maybe. we troll with something like that, called a destin doll. rig it with 3 hooks linked togetherand a cigar minnow on the first hook.
u guys bounce then on the bottom, i guess. |

I made 6oz and 8oz. And 12 oz also for tandem rigs. We wire line the 12oz. We bounce alot of bottom rocks sand etc.
