Default HELP water pump

Got a guy coming to look at the Mercury 200. I told him. Would pick up a impellor. Installex it and no water. Pulled foot. Impellor stuck on shaft. Has rotational play but wont slide up. Need to get this thing off!!!!

Ok I got it off. How the hell can it have rotational play yet not slide off. It screwed the metal cup in the housing. Wollared the.top hole out and made it oval shape.

jason, merc makes a kit for that motor that includes the housing and bottom plate for about $40.
ps you might have to translate "wollared" for out norther brothers

put an upper housing on it if it looks bad, replace the lower if there is any plastic melted over the edge of the passages. Clean the shaft up good with some sandpaper before putting it back together

Found a complete water pump kit minus bottom plate for $46 at Marine Max. The impellor was a Sierra part. Might try to get my money back on it.

Take it from me and spare...after market parts AIN'T WORTH IT...go w/the manufacturers replacement parts and make your life easier...
