| Ooops :)

Hello all, I am the proud owner of a 2000 Wellcraft Excalibur Cuddy. It's an awesome boat and I love the fit and finish of the Wellcraft vessel. I have some questions regarding the boat but I can't seem to find any Excalibur specific forums and my e-mail to Wellcraft in regards to a manual has fallen upon deaf ears ... so far :( Anyway, thought I'd say Hi to you all and I'm sure there will be lots of info here that will apply to my boat as well. Thanks for havin' me :) Any links anyone may have for Excalibur boats would be appreciated. |

Welcome aboard DRZDuke. I do not have any specific information on the Excalibur. I, too, am sure you can learn some great stuff from the folks on this forum. Most of these guys are incredible at diagnosing problems and are just full of good advice.

I was wondering if it was a real boat or not. Like you, the only reference I can find is ones for sale. And from 22 foot to 45 foot! Here is one that was for sale in Texas. Wellcraft Excalibur 22 Year Length Beam Power State Price 2000 22' 1 x 300 hp Texas $29,995 Description: 2000 23' Wellcraft Excalibur. 350Mag Multiport Fuel Injection engine (300 horsepower at the prop). Through-hull exhaust for a great sound (sounds like a big block engine). This is the highest horsepower small block engine that Mercruiser puts in an In/Outboard boat. It has a Bravo 1 Performance outdrive with a low-water pickup. The engine controls are Keikhaeffer Zero Effort controls normally found on much larger boats. She will run 60 mph. Stainless steel rub rail. There is a cuddy cabin. The cockpit has wrap-around seats with loads of storage underneath. Fiberglass cockpit liner with snap-in red carpet. Snap-on red cockpit cover and matching bimini top. Integrated ladder on the swim platform. The colors are red, black and silver in a racing flag pattern. The stereo features a Sony MP3 cd player and 10 disc cd changer with 10 disc changer. 2 amplifiers pumping out 1600 watts of clean power. 2 Rockford Fosgate Punch HX2 12" subs can make your teeth rattle. 4 7" Mb Quart coaxials provide supurbly clean high end sound. The CD player is mounted on the passenger side with a Sony marine remote with LCD display mounted on the drivers side so the driver can control the stereo. I also have mounted the infared remote so you can control the stereo from the rear of the boat. Location: Austin, Texas (USA) Your ZIP code

That's funny, thats my boat exactly in the picture :) Here's my first dumb newb question :) The Nav. light and the Anchor light both are not working on my boat, I checked the bulbs and they look OK so I'm trying to find the fuse panel ... can't find it anywhere ... any ideas as to where I should be looking ? |

I'd bet the problem is with the light switch. With the power on, turn the lights on and off quickly several times and see if at least one of them come on, it's possible corrosion has infiltrated the switch. I have no idea (without being there) where the fuse panel might be located. Most new boats that size, might have them integrated with the helms console (power) panel. Again, I'd have to be there to trace it down, sorry.

Pop the bulb(s) out and test the socket for power. If you have no power check the switch. Trace the circuit, it shouldnt be too hard. Oh, beautiful boat, saw one at Nags Head last week!
