get one of those kids harness that you see the families use when they go to Walmart, hook it to one of your heavier rods. You can keep him in check and go kid fishing all at the same time, PS, don't tell your wife where the idea came from, better yet, don't let her see the fishing rod

I've got a 30 foot dog leash I keep threatening to hook to him. Then I can just drag him wherever I want him to go. I have thought of the fishing rod idea before, she didn't like it.

That was quite a night you had at the ER Ferm...seems like your Dr. who did the knee work would have given you a number to call if you had any problems from the surgery...would have saved you some misery.

Praying for speedy healing for you...and for your boy to be good for you.

He was in surgery at the time, so his assistant told me to go to that hospitals ER. Now the real fun begins, fighting with hospitals and insurance companies. The hospital hasn't submitted the invoices for the surgery on the 12, so my insurance is kicking everything back on me saying my $1500 copay hasn't been met. The real kicker is I paid the hospital $750 of it already(because I didn't have the full $1500 at the time), and the insurance company doesn't show it because it hasn't been submitted yet. I hate dealing with this crap, sure would have been nice to have gotten some healthcare reform to deal with this sh!t!

So somebody explain to me how obamacare fixed ANYTHING with healthcare? Somebody explain to me why a same day surgery costs over $67K for JUST THE HOSPITAL! That's not counting the surgeon, or anesthesia, JUST THEM! Or why an overnight stay where they almost killed me cost $4K? Sure hoping I can get this all worked out and covered under the single copay like they told me it would be.

I thought it was bad before when it cost $28K in 02 to the hospital for replacing the rod in my leg which was a LONGER surgery with an overnight stay in the hospital. Once everything is added in I bet this BASIC procedure will cost close to $100K which is what 8 days in intensive care, the hospital, and 2 emergency surgeries cost me back in 01 when the accident happened.

Ferm, consider yourself lucky. In April my mom was admitted to the hospital for an intestinal blockage. She was there for a total of 10 days, during which time they took a healthy, alert, productive 95 year old woman and turned her into a vegetable that on the tenth day we had to remove from life support and watch die. And for that magnificent display of complete sophomoric ineptitude we had to pay $248,000 for just the hospital bill, not counting the bills from the doctor that prescribed the wrong meds that led to her death or a bunch of other bills. So count yourself lucky my brother, You came out of it alive, despite their best efforts.

Damn Destroyer, that's awful, sorry to hear.

Whether I had insurance or not I'd be tempted to tell them to stick it up their *** on the quarter mil.

Not to mention the dumbass doctor.

That's right along the lines of my overnight stay for the allergic reaction. If they had had there way, they would have killed me switching me around on blood pressure meds.

I hear you. My wife is relegated to bedrest due to a bulging disk in her back. Epidural is the next step in her treatment process and it is still a week away due to the log jam of patients and so few doctors. Healthcare isn't close to being better than it was before O-care. The out of pocket with good coverage is mind boggling. Timing is everything Ferm.
We deductible out 9 days ago on 12/31 and back to zero on 1/1. I have literally shelled out in excess of what the entire total should have been to this point. Why would a doctors office visit cost $330.00? I can go to the walk-in clinic and see a doctor that does not accept any form of healthcare insurance and be in and out faster than I can get checked in at our normal, insurance accepting Clinic. The cost is $60 including a broad-spectrum antibiotic to help me kick this sinus infection.
Destroyer, for the utter tragedy you suffered through, I am sorry. No words really. IDK why but my Hospital stays have gone without a hitch. Very competent care IMO.
