115 Yamaha four strokes are starting to pop up on the used market pretty often. they are heavy, and not that powerful, but they are a good engine, I've seen them in the $2500-$3500 range pretty regularly, but like any used motor, they can be a money pit as well. Yamaha 150 are still bringing a premium >$5000

UGH... I don't know what to do..... Part of me says just hold off till I can afford more motor.... The yammy f115 would be mighty tempting but I wonder how well it would push my boat....

How do you think it would compare to my flywheel rated merc 115 TOP?

Looks like it would be close to 100 lbs heavier and what 30 hp more????

It's a 96 130 25" with 126 hrs on the brp rebuilt power head since 09. Trim pump, lower unit seals replaced in 2012 and have under 1 hr. The kicker is the boat it was on was in Sandy. If was on the trailer and got knocked around pretty good. The power head wasn't submerged. I brought the boat home in December and the engine fired right up.

I forgot that part. $1800 with the jack plate, controls, oil tank( replaced at the same time as the power head) and gauges. The binnacle might not work for you since its a side mount.

I don't really want to sell it, but a recent change has me thinking that I won't be able to complete my Grady, so I may have to.

Hmmm... Well honestly I can't use the controls and don't need the gauges...

I dunno man... If you had been closer to what you had on the 110... Of course I understand... You have a total package with this one.

I hear you. The 110 was a bit of an unknown engine to me and it was reflected in the price. This engine I owned and I'm somewhat reluctant to part with. Oh well you'll find one.
