Normally you'd wax before putting on decals and then remove the wax at the locations the decals are to go (say with alcohol).
This way you don't damage the decals after the installation by waxing. The decals (usually installed with warm water and soap) or the glue affixed stripes can be removed or adjusted easily within a week after installation (or till the adhesive sets).

Thanks T. I plan on not running the boot stripe tight to th ebottom paint this time. Gonna leave like a 1/2 gap this time. And hopefully she goes on straight too. ;D

My fiberglass buddy stopped by to check in on me. Wasnt happy with my work. I need to wet sand more and then recompound. :-/ :'( :'( :'(

Next time he stops by, please have him put your fenders inside your original boat. Poor thing looks like she's been abandoned. Hammer, you're a LEO, isn't there some law about leaving them overboard? If so, I'd like to make a citizen's arrest. Only kidding. ;)
