Hey Willy Have you considered a dual cable system? that way you only need 1 new cable a dual cable helm and the dual outboard connector.

saves money.

here's one of the helms on Ebay.

My v20 has it on it and worked really good. it makes your steering tight so it doesn't torque nearly as much if any at all.

Morse Steering Helms *(Has 1 Contact Point)

Teleflex Steering Helms * (Has 1 Contact Point)

UltraFlex Steering Helms *(Has 6 Contact Points)

Why the Ultraflex System vs other name brands?

The Ultraflex Rotech and Accura Steering systems use a Planetary Gear Helm with six contact point vs. one contact point by other named brands

Increased longevity
Increased efficiency
Less feedback than conventional helms

Both the Teleflex® and Morse® helms rely on one contact point vs. six by the Ultraflex® steering helm.

Other features offered with a Ultraflex® Rotech or Accura Steering System:

You could buy one of these boxes and not even change your cables or any thing this would fix your problem.

Specs:

Up to 50 mph or 40 KW (55cv)

Rotech I single cable system

Accura I no feedback single cable system

Over 50 mph Rotech II dual cable system

Accura II no feedback dual cable system

See link for more info. Best route with least work.
