I will have to strip the boat to see that now--50 yes--can hit that speed since I put in 2 thru hull water pickups, 1 washdown and 1 for bait tank and the radar arch and stand up top--all hurt me--but that is plenty fast for a fishing boat!

I could only hit 47.2 coming in from tuna--of course--27 tuna and a tote of ice--a bit of extra weight for sure.

I am thinking of trying the 18" rebel--but I am getting great mpg and scared to switch.

Plenty fast. Dropping from 19" to 18" prop...........you'll pick up rpm, and less strain on the engine too. Might come out even on speed though with 1" less distance per revolution but higher rpm. Either way, you're rig is quick.

So many factors come into play here,bottom paint hardtop's etc etc just like Genie said. Current in an ocean or a mill pond lake are variable so all the mph are with conditions. With that being said all should be taking as an estimate!!!!!!!!!!!! Almost everybody knows this but, some of us think there rig is faster.

You mean I won't go as fast with all my canvas up, running against the tide, into a 30 mph wind, full fuel, and six slobs eating pizza on board ?
