All we got was a ton of rain but I'm using my smart (what a laugh) phone to connect my lap top to the internet because ours went down.

rkc, when these hit , do you still have natural gas? i am looking at converting my generator to nat gas. during hurricanes, 95% of the time, nat gas is uninterupted. this would eliminate the need to go get fuel(at crisis prices) and the need to refuel during operation. also cut out the ethanol issues with a gen i only run during a storm.

just wondering..

Got about 28"-30" of snow here at my house. We had wind gusts of up to 70 mph during the height of the storm. Lots of power lines down. My power was restored last night at about 7:30. MJ still has no power at his house in Wareham but he realized that the trailer park where he bought the mobile home does have power. So he packed up some essentials and his two critters and was headed over there last I talked to him. Probably no internet access for him there though as he hasn't set that up yet.
