Nothing new here in Mass. I didn't read through the entire article (well written, but long winded ;D).
We use them here in Mass. but everything on a little bit bigger scale. Longer, larger diameter tubes, tipped with one or two nice fat juicy seaworms. Larger gear too as in the rods and reels. A Penn 113H is the most common loaded up with plenty of stainless wire or leadcore line to get the tube down without the use of downriggers. Quite effective for the big striped girls. ;) Good info though. I'll have to read through the entire article.
