Alas, she is gone. She is in a better place.
He came on got her on Tuesday. I took a couple pix of which I have not loaded to the PC yet of him driving her off. He actually might sell her and has a guy interested already. Hes putting a 200 hp 20" johnson on there, so she should scoot! I'll load the pix when I get time. I worked 14 hrs yesterday :( and problem is still not fixed. This could be a bad weekend. :-[

well BR, my first thought is that is not at all what I pictured you to sound like. I guess I never thought about what everyone sounds like ??? just how they type. nice video and love the Bob Ross input.

Ok, the new owner is supposed to pick my boat up this evening. *I got the crack all taken care of. *Even got a nice video in the process of me sealing up the repair with some system 3 epoxy and a "Bob Ross" paint brush *;D
Recap the process. *First I sanded down the around the gouge/crack. *I wanted the surface to be clean and smooth for maximum bonding of the filler I was to apply. Here are the tools: ![]() Next I spread on one layer of System 3 Quick Fair and let dry. *The next day I machine sanded it smooth in preparation for a 2nd coat. ![]() ![]() The next day let dry and machine sanded it smooth again in preparation for a final coat of epoxy. ![]() Apparently this crack had been there some time before Randlemanboater noticed it because it appears some water had gotten in and caused it to begin to delaminate on the inside about 8 inches. *The gouge/crack on the outside was only about 3 inches or less. *I made sure it was nice and dry in the inside and used the quick fair to fill in where the delam had begun. *No sanding here as this is a rough surface to begin with not to mention tight quarters! *After this cured for a day or two, I brushed on a thick coat of epoxy to protect the repair. *This is in the forward hatch in the cuddy not far from the keel: ![]() ![]() And last but not least, the video with narration ;D http://s33.photobucket.com/albums/d7...0416071940.flv Now its time for her to go off to a new beginning. *I hope to see her around for many more years as the guy buying her is local. Later ya'll, Blue
