Everything except the bubble and another hole for the ignition cable.
It will be too much crap comming out of one backwash hole so I had to have 3.

The reason I mentioned it, cause now would be easiest time to change it (angle it up) B4 everything else goes in...on the other hand, yours may not need it ;) ...

Finally mounted the gas tanks, put 6 gallons in each, primed the water separator, installed the bubble and connected the fuel line to the motor.
The ignition cable still needs connecting because the “Sunday Boaters Shops” didn’t have a 3” backsplash boot in stock, so today I’ll go to 2 others that usually have real boat stuff on hand and complete that.

Cranked the motor up and everything works except the tach. We installed a new one but don’t remember if it worked on the other boat. We used the same control box and wires, so the possibility does exist that it never worked. I’ll have to start tracing wires next.
The prior owner apparently over tightened the ignition switch. When I first started the engine the switch seemed loose and I do remember having to turn it to the “run” position because it wouldn’t spring back from “start”. Well the nut and threads fell off when I removed the key now I see tumblers and a keyhole; disassembly of the control box is next. At least I can trace the tach wires easier.

Did get the winch stand repaired, still got to do the lights on the trailer.

Well, found the problem with the tach.
The last "mechanic" that worked on the motor stuck the ring terminal from the rectifier/regulator to the grounding location instead of the solenoid stud.

I would have never thought anything about it till I showed Daddy the route the wires were run. Quickly he said "that eyelet looks too big for that stud".
Sure nuff after going thru every wireing diagram with no help for termination, the BRP parts number for that said "ring terminal, solenoid".
