what he said!! you do not want all that crap in your carbs!!

just get all you can out of the motor what ever way you can!!

Then I would add a new filter and fill with new gas, this way you running good gas with a little old but should be fine, change the filter after first tank.

As for the hose thing, I have never had one, but hear tell thats how you can rinse the motor out real well. But I am not sure if you can run from there??
