Hammerhead, a FI 2-stroke will be a GREAT repower unit for your V-20 ;)...good price, too...you'll cruise around 30 and top out at a little over 40...it'll probably take a 15 to 15 1/4 x 17 prop to get those numbers...I think you'll like the performance...
Armstrong makes a great bracket, but there are other good ones out there, too...I would think a "flotation" bracket would be helpful...your transom has a curve (side to side) and IDEALLY the bracket should match that curve, HOWEVER a flat bracket can be shimmed and work great... Hopefully, the others who have done this will jump in here cause they'll have lots of additional tips... There's a formula to determine the height of the motor based on how many inches it's away from the transom...you should look into this before you start...just ask Willy... ;D...
