One year I was in the Detective Bureau, senior detective, and I had a double homicide and also a police involved shooting and two multiple victim sex assaults in a three month period toward the end of the year, I doubled my salary in overtime and thought I was doing good, but I was exhausted and then the tax bill came Holy Crap not only did theytake 2/3 of it but now I owed the guvment at tax time. I never did that again, and because these a$$holes in congress (both parties!) won't get rid of the minimum alternative tax I can't even use all the deductions I have.
I am getting ready to leave the PD. and am looking hard for something to do with a large proportion cash buisness ;)
