Looking for First Blood

Well we went out today and tried several different spots, got into some mangrove snappers while pitching live shrimp. We really were looking for some tarpon and snook. Fished the mangroves, but no luck. Blue was right, we shoulds been in position at sunup. Oh well!!!
Wanted to fish the Lagoon and the inlet but they had a festival and a tournament in Sebastian. Couldn't even get close to the ramps or the hot spots. But we didn't give up easy, put about 40 miles on the boat, fished from just after 7:00 am and finally put her on the trailer at 4:00 pm. Was great fun, just not much success catching. Guess thats why they call it fishing!!!!
Did I mention that we were in shorts and t shirts!!! Even got sunburned. It's tough here in Florida!!!
