Mud - what are your RPM's at full throttle? Also what size and pitch prop are you running?
The most likely scenerario . . . is that your engine is only firing on 5 of the 6 cylinders. Also it's a good idea to test the compression. Do you have a compression tester? If not you can find one at any auto parts store.
