Thanks guys. I’m glad that I found out how to post on the new forum. I’m not to good with computers.
I’m not going to do nothing now ( it’s winter in nj now ,almost winter )but before I put the battery’s in I will check all. The fittings. Inopeitsnot going to be bad. . .

You know blue runner ,I can check the sending unit without taking the panel off there is an access panel right over the sending unit

sending unit seal is a pretty common problem, easily fixed. It normally shows up if you fill your tank full or over full. Same for the fill hose. Good luck.

I didn’t get a chance to find out why or where it’s leaking yet. You know. Winter in nj. When I find out I will post the update. Probably late march or early April

Don t know if you have ever pulled the tank. On my 83,the original was foamed into the fuel compartment with a PVC pipe running under the tank. This was to keep leaking fuel out of the bilge. If u had fuel coming out of the transom drain, might indicate leak is on the top on the tank, where all the hoses are.

btw, you're far better off with an empty tank for the winter than a full one, especially if theres any ethanol in the tank, If you have a poly tank, you wont get any condensation, if you have a n aluminum one, you will get very little
