Thanks guys. Ate half of it last night, froze the other half. Normally i don t freeze a lot of fish, i was wasting most of it. I vacuum bagged it and will try to eat it in the next 2-3 weeks.
Ended up cooking it on the grill in parchment paper, kinda like New Orleans style Pompano Papillote. Turned out great!!

Phat - You have no mercy on a guy trying to get to sleep. I had a nice dinner, it was very tasty, plenty of it and now you have me drooling, looking at that beautiful fish dish. Yes, my mouth is literally watering. Nice work.

Been working on my shop and daughters house last couple of weeks. I got a kitchen pass for sunday afternoon. decided to go to the state park and try for a pompano again.
got there early afternoon, only one fishing on the beach. got set up, sat there over an hour. deep rod goes off. ![]() almost a twin with the one i got about a month ago cooked it the same way, this is a before shot ![]() turned out great!! |
