Spring is almost here. Weather is getting nicer. Almost time to uncover the boat and clean her up for the springtime shakedown run. God, I love this time of the year when everythiing is reborn.

Pipe Dream has stayed in the water all winter. We've taken her out on average once every 2-3 weeks. The bottom has stayed pretty nice except for a lot of growth on the depth finder transducer. But now the pine pollen is coming out and everything has a greenish-yellow coating on it, including the boat. It'd be nice to take a couple of hours and give her a good scrubbing, but as soon as I start the noseeums attack. Ugh. Soon as we get to 80 and above she'll get the attention she deserves.

Yep, warming up here in eastern NC. Warmed up to 75 degrees today. Nice! Working nights through the first week of April, having a shutdown at Nucor Steel. Hope to get out soon. Just bought 3.5 acres of land around my house. Been trying to get this property for 35 years. Hope to start on my dream 30x40 shop w/ lean to on both sides soon. Come on spring!!!
