You all know me (if you've been here a long time) and my history with the Pipe Dream. She's been with me over 30 years now. Like phat, I'm on my third engine, however the loss of engine #2 was on me. That engine should have lasted the rest of my life but it went down with much of the boat in Matthew and was replaced with the current one which I hope WILL last me the rest of my life. Not perfect (no boat is), but serves our needs well and unless I come into a lot of disposable money I'm not changing now.

"She's a good old boat
and she'll stay afloat
through the toughest gale and keep smiling..."

Going on 20 years with the V21. The things I've asked her to do .... she's never said no or complained about it, not once. Even when she knew it was likely a terrible idea!

Agreed totally, going on 5 years with my first V20 with a 92 merc 150hp and am truly enjoying the boat, I keep thinking I should get something bigger but the V20 is the perfect size for now..

This is my 20th summer with my '84 cuddy with a 2002 200hP Mercury Saltwater. It has served me well. I always wonder thought for how much longer though! It's the perfect boat for Narragansett Bay.

I'm shocked on how long you guys had your V20 , I thought I was the only one who still loves my V20 after 25 years plus actually going on 30 years.
The reason I bought her was the first time I seen a V20 on the water I said that's my next boat, got one in 1995 and still love my boat and my 3 sons love her too
It's a great boat, like you said gates what a boat should be.

Yep I completely agree! I bought my V in 06 and completely went through everything. It had set up for five plus years and needed lots of love. First rode in a friends 86 V and knew then it was what I wanted. Its 46 years old now and still turns heads. I love the design, the wide Carolina flared bow and the layout of it with the cuddy. Been a great family, fishing, cruising boat for the Chowan river. I wouldn't trade it for any other boat.
