Hey man welcome back! Good to see you around here. I'm getting to the point I don't have the gumption to do repairs/improvements like I used to. But I'm all about some maintenance, that takes enough time to begin with lol.

One last thing, fixing the engine is no big deal as long as it's a good motor
90 percent of the time with mine anyway is a electrical issue, stator,switch box or very seldom trigger assemble. Plus the other things that I screwed up like stripping the hole that the thermostat bolt goes in. My son has a friend that repowered his boat with 2 brand spanking new suzukis. And on the first day out one broke down. Than the other one broke down on his second time out. I would fix yours. The boat? Fix the soft spots when you get time to fix it or live with it. The transom , if it's not flexing. Leave it alone. I'm sure mine is in need of a rebuild but I'm not looking to fix it now 1 st I don't know how and 2nd I'm sure it's not cheap to get it done. Just watch it and fish.
