We use ziplocks. Roll ‘em and store ‘em.

ziplocks work ok, add the hooks when needed, otherwise a complete mess. Other method is make them on site. I'm sorta the dedicated rig tie er. My motto is "y'all break em I make em." I don't get to fish much but I love watching my crew catch them.

I make them on site. Usually it's just me or my son, so it's no big deal. I have a few commercially made "spools" that you wrap the rig around for storage. They are ok, but it's easier to just make them as I need them.

years ago i helped out on the head boat out of Swan Point Marina. They tied the rigs directly on using the line on the reel. Double overhand knot making a loop, pinch the loop and thread it thru the eye of the hook or the weight. I'd watch the other people fishing and figure out which hook height was working best and change my rig up. I have at times put 6 hooks on my line, figured out which ones were catching the targeted species, removed the hooks catching trash fish.
