Your mother was right, but we can talk about fishing, engine repairs, boats I never followed politics until about 3 years ago when there was a very important issue concerning me and my brother teamsters. That's when I realized how important it is to elect the right persons in office I don't want to get into it but now I can put that is due behind us but politicians can really affect your life. Now I'm done with all that. But mom was right.

Step, I wasn't a political person at all, like you, I started to watch a few years ago.

Now here is something to think about.

Cool

Love the sandwich.

Gotta disagree with some people I respect about the political section. It was put there for a reason, namely to invite reasonable debate about certain political people and topics. No one was required to go to that thread, no one was required to read or even comment on the topics. So to say that it was the cause of declining viewership is, IMHO, wrong. In point of fact there is even a warning to not enter if the topics anger or upset you.

Yes, it got off track with the advent of some people, myself included, trading personal insults back and forth. There is no denying that. But the decline in viewership started long before the political thread was even established. I truly believe that the main reason is we are a dinosaur. People moved to Facebook and on facebook there are a few Wellcraft groups. That was one of the main reasons. It had nothing to do with the political thread, since it didn't exist yet.

Just my .02 cents

D, You are right, I think I only hit the political site once to post a picture of that MENTAL MORON we have for a so called President. It's not just that one particular thread, I noticed it in all the others sites out there or were out there. There use to be NOREAST, gone, now there is NYANGLER and it's like here, the same few, which I am Not one of any longer, I got banned for life for having a disagreement with one of the moderators. Like you said, people use Facebook and YouTube to get there views across. The problem with that is, if you don't know who is posting you can never find out any thing, that's what makes sites like Wellcraft work. Click on fishing and there is a report, some times not from your area, but it was interesting anyway. That's one thing I hate about not being able to fish any longer, fishing with good friends, writing my reports, making the video's and having my, BUTTERED, TOASTED EVERYTHING BAGEL WITH TONS OF SOFT BACON and not sharing it.

Ummm....ya, about that "not sharing it" thing... we need to talk.

I agree with the shift in preferences, that's undeniable.

But I also think it would help if it were easier to post photos and videos to this site. People like a visual, and that's hard to do!
