Avoidance? Of what? I already gave my opinion of what I thought of the importance of McCarthy's supposed lie was. ZERO, nothing, nada, zip, it is of no importance. The only person it effects is McCarthy's possible future, whereas the people I mentioned and the lies they told effected the entire Country and besmirched the reputation of the President of the United States, all for purely political reasons with no justification.

McCarthy COULD have told the truth and said “yeh that’s how I felt at the time” but instead he attacked the NY TIMES report as total lie - until he got caught .
This man showed his lack of character and should therefore not become speaker of the House.
But he will — because this is the new Republican Party - where lying is supported .

Well, you may be the only one here unaware that you don’t post truth and facts, but, for the most part, biased opinion. The PBS article is a shining example.

McCarthy said “ he believed trump should resign” …..lied that he didn’t say so……then got caught when his own recorded words played back .
