The actual statement that I heard from Trump was that it would be appropriate for Putin to release truthful, factual information about the apparently extremely corrupt undertakings of Hunter Biden, which as shown by his laptop involve the family.
Of course Putin’s not trustworthy, so anything he provided would need to be verified, but it could be a helpful component of getting at the truth. What looks to actually be vile and despicable is the deep and longstanding corruption in the Biden family, which if properly exposed by the dishonest media and social media would probably have kept that corruption out of the presidency. You will, no doubt, argue Trumpist corruption, but this is a different subject.
