Biden asked the Saudis and Russians to increase oil production to bring prices down. Yeah, as if that was going to work. They simply laughed in response.
Since that isn't going to happen, he has returned to the standard Democrat playbook and asked the FTC to investigate oil companies for "anti-consumer behavior." The FTC has investigated oil companies for this since the 1970s, never turning up anything, but lyin' Biden hopes it will deflect attention from his anti-energy policies. I'm so old that I remember when America was the number one producer of petroleum products in the world, we were energy independent and a net exporter, and energy prices were affordable. Oh wait, that's not so long ago...
