New power tilt/trim motor on the Etec 200 HO.
These tilt motors generally show signs when starting to fail, and it’s not a fluid fill issue. |

Could it be the ram seals?

Good deal. U use an OEM or a lookalike? One on my merc is working fine, but motor is looking very rust stained. Not sure if i have to remove trim unit or not, only 2 bolts holding motor on

I had to replace the trim motor on my 175 Evinrude last year. The original one just rusted apart....literally fell apart from rust... funny thing is it was still working, but the armature and stator were just sitting free from the base. Wierd. Bought a new one off ebay, pain in the tukus to install because of the location, Tight. I much prefer Mercury units.
