As President Joe Biden completed 100 days in office, the country was optimistic about the coming year, but now, just after hitting the six-month mark, Americans' optimism about the direction of the country has plummeted nearly 20 points, a new ABC News/Ipsos poll finds.

A majority -- 55% -- of the public say they are pessimistic about the direction of the country, a marked change from the roughly one-third (36%) that said the same in an ABC News/Ipsos poll published May 2. In the early May survey, Americans were more optimistic than pessimistic by a 28-percentage point margin. Optimism is now under water by 10 points. Looking ahead to the next 12 months, fewer than half -- 45% -- now report feeling optimistic about the way things are going, a significant drop from about two-thirds (64%) in the May poll.

We dont have to read. Just come out of the basement and turn off the news, look around. Go to the store, look at all the now hiring signs, look at the closed businesses that cant get employees, look at the gas prices, look at the housing market, turn the news off and think for yourself!

You can't even get anyone to work now. There are companies offering 20.00 an hour for minimum wage jobs and they are still having trouble getting employees. I guess they are making enough money staying home! Let's go to gas prices, if you have a fleet of trucks or just a few service vehicles your really feeling it. But if you don't have these concerns on a daily basis I guess it doesn't phase you! But this all by design !!!

The govt COVID support payments has been an emergency funding and will be ending by December.

1 if you received money and didn’t need it — you can return it to the government.
2 google how many Americans would have been on the street without this support as their service industry jobs disappeared due to COVID

The global economic whiplash of crash to re bound / shortages and inflation is not Joe Bidens fault .
It was actually Trump who beat up on our Federal policy makers to keep interest rates low.

This is why I continue to write FACTS MATTER.
Biden signed way more new useful legislation in his first 100 days than trump did .
You cannot blame the President for this global economic situation but you sure should blame a president for his own actions — such as trumps
