Thanks for the welcome!
My motor is a 2004 yamaha z150 HPDI. It has super low hours, 283 hours. I am not sure if that picture will come through, but we will see. What is a stepside? I understand the hulls are the same betw een the different deck layouts. Did WC only make 20.6 foot hulls back then? I kind of hit a road block with rigging my motor and had to pull it back off to finish the rigging tube on the transom. I just did not have enough room to work with the motor on. the transom motor cutout is very small. My problem is the hole that was there for a rigging tube is much bigger then the flange I have for my rigging tube. I tried to upload some pictures, but they did not display. Any tips? I am looking forward to getting on the water. Oh I may have figured something out...difficult though...

Looks like a dual console like mine. Mine has a rubber boot covering the hole for the controls. Looks like you need a larger boot.

Do you have hydraulic steering?
That rigging tube won't take a steering cable.. You can use a square of StarBoard to cover...

Hello Bill and best of luck with your boat.
Lots of useful info here from Destroyer and others. The 150 is a great fit for the boat. I had one on my V21 and it was totally adaquate |

This is how I set up my old boat with same system. I also had too big a hole on this one and had to move it a few inches up. However on this boat the Gelcoat was white and east to match. The WC is a cream(ish) color.
Anyone have a part number for the rubber boot? That would make my life easier. The boat came with what was left of a rubber boot, but only the base was left.

I think you may have meant Steplift, not Stepside. A steplift hull refers to the lifting strakes that run along the bottom of the hull. As the boat gains speed they help lift the hull up out of the water so it gets on plane using less HP from the engine. Saves on gas, wear and tare on your engine. Yes, WC also made several other hull sizes during the same time period that they made the V20. Most notably they made a V18 foot that looks almost identical to the V20. Towards the end of the production run they started make V21's also. Several guys here like blue_runner, bgreene and myself own them. They also made racing Scarabs in various lengths, as well as Coastal cruisers in the 25 foot range.
