Taking on some water???

Are the scuppers the deck drains? Or are the scuppers thru hulls I’m the outside of the boat. I’m still working on figuring out what. Certain things are. Sorry about the dumb questions

Yes, sorry. The deck drains connect to the thru hulls that let water on the deck drain overboard. On older models the drains went to the bilge and the water had to be pumped overboard. Like I said not real familiar with lay out of a dually, i m assuming you have scuppers, being a mid 80 s boat

On my cuddy, with a 25 gallon Livewell in the stern, its not uncommon to have a half inch of water around your feet while fishing

Ok. So the deck drains if I remember correctly do in fact drain of to the sides but the more I think about the less certain I am. I’m gonna go take a look at it tomorrow or Friday depending on when my new hose and thru hulls get here. I already got some 4200 and 5200. So we shall see how it goes.

One thing I did that helped with the water in the floor problem was when I replaced the floor drains I cut off enough of the threaded part that it I could then use the angled fitting on the bottom as the locking nut.

This made the bottom of the floor drain where the hose connected about an inch higher, thus mostly stopping water from coming in from outside in fairly calm conditions. It still came in when rocking and rolling but it improved things.

There should be a round hatch u can remove on the upright side of the step just infront of the consoles. Look in there at the hoses for the drains. Mine came off once and I got a lot of water in. Plus check your bilge pump tube, they sometimes crack so some water runs back in.
Fuel lines are not bad to do, take the round hatch off above fuel sending unit and look in by the battery. Wiggle the fuel line to make sure it will move. Find something to attach the old and new line and pull it through till u have enough to hook up the new one, sorry I don't know the length.

I just walked out and looked at my boat, cover still on it. But there are 2 drains on the sides up front. I think other hatch for the second drain is under each console. From what I remember that is the fun one to see in. U have to lay down with your upper body in the console door trying to look into the hatch access. don't forget your flashlight.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I got some thru hulls changed out with new hoses. I looked at the fuel lines they look Good. But the fuel vent line...... that bad boy doesn’t appear to be attached to anything. Shouldn’t the fuel vent line starch to a vent somewhere?? I gave it a very soft tug and it just appears to go to the bottom of the boat
