I知 not exactly sure how many thru hulls I have I need to check. The kicker is counter balanced by the bait tank in the opposite side. When we are out there not even moving we take no water on the deck.
I値l try to get more pictures of the lay out. But don稚 just her too much she needs some deck paint. This is the only pic I have right now but I値l grab some more

There are hoses that run from the deck drains to the through hulls on the sides, I had one fail once, let in a lot of water.

Welcome aboard. Glad to see you finally got permissions to post, etc. It's so much easier to answer your questions here rather than on the other site.

Good that you got the bilge pump installed and the bilge cleaned. I think that's going to solve 90% of your bilge water problems.

Pics are always welcome here, and like the saying goes, are worth a thousand words.

Good looking boat.

Thanks for the advice and warm welcome guys. As soon as I get down to the boat I値l snap some pictures. I store it just down the street at the marina so it shouldn稚 be too difficult. When trying to remove soft spots on the deck do you have to remove the entire deck? Like the top from the hull?? Or can you just remove the bad sections and replace them?? I haven稚 ever done a project like that so I have no idea how hard it would be...

And once soft spots are removed.... how hard is it to paint the deck? Do you need to use gel coat? Or is it just deck paint. Thanks everyone!

With that kicker and the baitwell. I would think the scuppers would be under water, so like RMB said check the hoses from the deck drains to the thru hulls.

On the soft deck, i replaced about a third of mine from the top, just cut out the bad and put in a new piece of ply and glassed over it to match surrounding area. I used epoxy, so i had to paint mine. Not that big of a deal, but once u paint, you will at some point have to repaint. If you go back with gelcoat, you need to use polyester resin.

Are the scuppers the deck drains? Or are the scuppers thru hulls I知 the outside of the boat. I知 still working on figuring out what. Certain things are. Sorry about the dumb questions

Yes, sorry. The deck drains connect to the thru hulls that let water on the deck drain overboard. On older models the drains went to the bilge and the water had to be pumped overboard. Like I said not real familiar with lay out of a dually, i m assuming you have scuppers, being a mid 80 s boat

On my cuddy, with a 25 gallon Livewell in the stern, its not uncommon to have a half inch of water around your feet while fishing
