going to jersey for a week, where do i fish?

59th street pier in Sea Isle city for crabs & fluke & small bluefish maybe croaker. There is parking and access to the beach at Townsends Inlet bridge. Might find a big Black drum there, along with the others mentioned.

Not my stomping grounds, way south of me.
They pull some giant Sheepshead off rocks down that way, 15 pounders, using crab. Looks like there is access to rocks in Avalon.

There are some party boats. Check out Avalon Lady, they fish in the bay, good for little kids.

Those old sand pit lakes are full of pickerel...spinner bait gets 'em every time

caught small kingfish off beach. My father inlaw showed up with his boat, caught sea robins and small founder around corsons inlet. Found a good bait shop down there just outside sea isle city. He had good info. My boy had a lot of fun.

That's the absolute BEST fun you can have with your kids. Time together.

Camping in jersey again this weekend. Will try to catch some fish from beach. Not really swimming weather but wont stop my son from getting his feet wet!

Where will you be in NJ? Personally, if you're going to be in central NJ I highly recommend Island Beach State park for surf fishing. It's always been one of my favorite spots for beach fishing.
