Whalers hold thier value well, u usually pay too much to get one, but u get more when u sell it. If ur building something to flip, i would go for a later model. That one probably has a 15 transom, which will limit ur motor options , unless u built it up.

I have a 64 that was in very rough shape. All i did was sand and patch, throw some paint on it and use it for 25 years. It is waterlogged and back in rough shape again, but it still gets the job done. I use it for a work boat scalloping and crabbing. I love it

Ur user name is surfdoc, so maybe u can trade out with a chiropractor or dentist, you will need one for back and replace fillings

Haha thanks guys, decided it's probably not worth the trouble right now. Plenty of stuff that needs to be done on the V20.
