Oh, I don't know,..... I've driven to Va, SC and Fla at various times to pick things up. But as you wish. Free to anyone that wants it. I'll put it on CL on Friday if no takers.

How much room do you have behind your console to the transom? Like back of the steering wheel? |

Sorry, your going to have to guess from the photo (Boat is gone), but the 6" deck hatch was located on top of the fuel sender in a 55 gal Ploy tank.

Kevin I moved mine 6 to 8 inches forward from factory. I wouldn't go any further forward than mine. They way mine is set up would really put you very close to where you wanna be.

Is the inner liner structural? Who ever had the boat before me. Cut it out.

I believe the ‘74 is a flat cap so no liner. Built more like a skiff. Floor goes all the way to the hull sides.

WP757, have you figured out where to place your fuel tank yet? Some early year models did not have the walls from the floor to cap edge. My 78' V20 has the walls and the walls flex a lot. I don't think they are structural at all. I have a 78' V20 and I have space in hull to move the tank about 15" forward. I have talked to a boat repair shop and a boat builder about my plans for my V20 and they agree with my plans. I am completely removing all stringers and bulkheads. I will replace stringers as originally configured, with the exception of tying them to the transom. I am relocating some of the bulkheads, to support console being moved forward. I will be placing a new fuel tank forward about 14" in the center of hull between stringers. I am also moving my console 12" forward from original position. I can get original position numbers for you if interested. I am also removing the splash well, extending floor to transom, filling motor cut out in transom and adding an aluminum motor bracket to the transom. I also have an aluminum T Top that is 8' long and about 50" wide. I have a Johnson 150 2 stroke going back on. With the changes, I am gaining about 5' of fishing room between console and transom. I hope she will be a better fishing/diving boat when complete.
