I fished Raritan Bay today.....and yes, yesterday they all said the bite was better !
Iv'e noticed a pattern with Stripers - after 1-3 days of nasty, stormy weather, the day after, or no later than 2 days after the fish feed heavily, then as high pressure builds in, the bite dies off. So, I trolled a large bass only to lose it at the boat, but was a sort of catch and release I estimate in the 25 + lb class. That was on umbrella. Then boated a good eater - 28" fish on a plug, then a small short released on same plug. Radio chatter was about how slow it was........... Saw at least 3 V's out there....one with a Merc, one with a Yami, and one with an Evinrude, possibly etec G2. Calm, sunny, warm . |

A buddy of mine took these pics today in key port. They’re really beating up on these fish.
